If you wish to enrol your child in the school please download and fill out the registration and medical forms and either email it to the school at info@camberleydanceacademy.co.uk or hand it to a staff member in person. Please read the Terms and Conditions below.

ENROLMENT
 
Following a free trial lesson a registration form must be completed online before the student's first timetabled lesson. The registration form is your contract with the Camberley Dance Academy (CDA). 
Medical conditions must be disclosed to the School upon enrolment and thereafter. It is important that any learning difficulties are disclosed in order for us to provide support. 
By enrolling in the school you agree to receive emails from us such as term date reminders, timetables, exam notifications, newsletters and other general information relating to the school. 

1 PAYMENT 
1.1 All fees must be paid in full before or during the first week of each term.
1.2 Invoices will be issued on a termly basis. 
1.3 Payments can be made by BACS, Cheque or Cash. 
1.4 Any returned BACS payments or cheques will incur a £7.50 administration charge.    
1.5 Any invoice which remains unpaid by the beginning of half term will have a £20.00 administration charge applied to the invoice.
1.6 We reserve the right to suspend your child’s classes and withhold Examination Entries and Results until any overdue payments have been received.   
1.7 Fees are not waived in respect of family holidays, school trips, school exams or short term sickness or injury. 
1.8 Instances of long-term sickness or injury will be addressed on an individual basis. 
1.9 Any fees that remain unpaid by the end of term will be passed to a collection agency.
 
2  EXAMINATIONS 
2.1 Invoices for Examinations are distributed on an Ad Hoc basis. 
2.2 All Examination invoices must be settled by the given date.
2.3 If payment is not made by the given date students will not be entered for examinations.
2.4 Teachers will make appropriate decisions about when a student is ready to be entered for an examination.  You will be notified when your child has reached the appropriate standard and given information about extra exam coaching classes that your child should attend. 

3  EXAM COACHING 
3.1 Invoices for Exam Coaching are distributed on an Ad Hoc basis. 
3.2 All Exam Coaching invoices must be settled by the given date. 

4 TERMINATION OF CLASSES 
4.1  A full term's notice in writing (email is acceptable) must be given if a child is withdrawn from ANY class/classes, or a term’s fee will be charged in lieu of notice for each separate class being terminated. A full term consists of 12 weeks. 

5  CANCELLATION OF CLASSES 
5.1 Occasionally it is necessary temporarily to change the venue of a class, or postpone it to a later date. Where this occurs CDA will try to notify Parents either by email, text, phone, website, Facebook or word of mouth.  
5.2 No refunds will be given for missed classes or classes that are re-scheduled or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.
5.3 CDA reserves the right to alter the timetable, change venue and fees. We will do our utmost to give reasonable notice. 

6 CODE OF CONDUCT
6.1 All students should arrive promptly and regularly, be properly groomed and wearing the correct uniform.  No jewellery should be worn.  
6.2 The school does not discriminate on background, race or religion. It regularly monitors staff to maintain school teaching policies and adheres to Health and Safety procedures to ensure that each child dances in a class appropriate to their level of development.
6.3 Please do not disturb a class in progress.  We are happy to discuss any problems by telephone, email or by appointment.
6.4 Anyone observing classes should do so quietly and not interfere with the lesson taking place.  Please remove any siblings if they are disturbing the class.  All mobile phones should be on silent mode when in the studio please. 
6.5 Pupils will be asked to leave without notice for any serious breach of the school’s terms and conditions or for any other serious misconduct. 
6.6 From time to time it is necessary for the teachers to use physical contact when helping to improve pupils’ posture or assist in movements.  This includes physical contact between students ie. holding hands, assisting with technique. 

7  CDA LIABILITIES 
7.1 CDA does not accept liability for personal injury to any child attending a class.
7.2 CDA does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.  
7.3 CDA is only responsible for students while they are in their class. Children cannot be supervised whilst they are outside waiting before or after their class. 
7.4 CDA holds Public Liability Insurance.
7.5 All teachers are qualified, DBS checked and insured and are fully aware of our child protection policy.
7.6 Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be notified by email.
7.7 Teachers will complete regular CPD (Continuing Professional Development) in accordance with their memberships to examining boards.  

8 RESPONSIBILITIES OF PARENT OR GUARDIAN 
8.1 These terms and conditions, and any enrolment forms you have signed, constitute an agreement between you and us in connection to classes.
8.2 Attendance at class is deemed to be acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions. 
8.3 It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to notify CDA of any illness or injury that may affect the child’s participation at class.
8.4 It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to ensure that we have the correct contact details for you and your child, including telephone number, email and address and that you keep us updated of any changes to health.
8.5 In the event that we consider you to be in breach of these terms & conditions or that your child is disruptive to other pupils or staff, teachers or venue staff, we reserve the right to exclude your child from any classes within CDA.  
8.6 CDA hire premises from Third Parties; therefore all CDA Staff, Parents, Guardians and pupils must abide by the codes of conduct as set out by those Third Parties. 
8.7 Parents or Guardians should make themselves aware of our Privacy and Child Protection policies. These are available on our website.
8.8 Children must be supervised by an adult in the waiting areas until they are called into class.  It is the parents’ responsibility to supervise their own children in the waiting areas, car parks and toilet areas at all our venues.  Students should be collected from inside the building promptly at the end of their lesson. CDA recommends that if you are concerned about your child accessing the toilet during class then you should remain on site to supervise them. Please inform us if someone different is collecting your child.
